Newspaper sites growing twice of overall online audience

The audience for US newspaper websites is growing at nearly twice the rate of the overall online audience. An average of more than 59 million people (37.6 per cent of all active Internet users) visited newspaper websites each month during the first quarter this year, a record number that represents a 5.3 per cent increase over the same period a year ago, according to Nielsen//NetRatings NetView. During the same time period, the overall Internet audience grew just 2.7 per cent. ..details..

Telegraph Editor Bhushan Joins IndiaToday Daily

Print media has some new changes in their editorial leaders. Bharat Bhushan, Editor (Delhi) of Kolkata-based newspaper The Telegraph is joining India Today-Daily Mail newspaper joint venture as editor, as per media sources. US newspaper photographer who altered image resigns

TOLEDO, Ohio – A staff photographer for The Blade who digitally altered a front-page photo has resigned, the newspaper said Monday. Allan Detrich had told Blade editors that he altered a photo of a college baseball team for his personal files and mistakenly sent it to the newspaper. (more…)
