The Media Advisory Committee of Rajya Sabha is constituted by the Chairman, Rajya Sabha. It consists of representatives of various media organizations accredited to the Press Gallery of Rajya Sabha. The first Media Advisory Committee was constituted on 18 March 2008 and consisted of 11 members. The second Committee was constituted on 27 May 2009 and consisted of 15 members. The Committee has been reconstituted w.e.f. 19 July 2010 and consists of the following 15 members:

The office bearers of the Committee are also appointed from among its members by the Chairman, Rajya Sabha. Accordingly, The Chairman, Rajya Sabha has appointed Shri Urmilesh as the Chairman, Shri Rahul Srivastava as the Vice-Chairman, Shri R. Rajagopalan as the Secretary and Ms. Radhika Ramaseshan as the Joint Secretary of the Committee
TENURE
The term of the Committee is one year. It may, however, be dissolved earlier by the Chairman, Rajya Sabha and re-constituted de novo.
MANDATE
The primary function of the Committee is to render advice to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat regarding admission of various media organizations to the Press Gallery of Rajya Sabha to enable them to cover the proceedings of the House.

एडिटर इन चीफ नजम सेठी भी इस सम्मेलन में शिरकत करेंगे। सेठी को विश्व
समाचारपत्र और समाचार प्रकाशक संघ (वैन-आईएफआरए) के वार्षिक गोल्डन पेन आफ
फ्रीडम पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।
हिंदी के लब्ध प्रतिष्ठित साहित्यकार व जोधपुर विश्वविद्यालय के पूर्व कुलपति प्रोफ़ेसर कल्याण मल लोढ़ा का २१ नवम्बर की रात लगभग २.३० बजे जयपुर में निधन हो गया. वे ८९ वर्ष के थे. प्रोफ़ेसर लोढ़ा पिछले कुछ वर्षों से अस्वस्थ चल रहे थे.
मुंबई: कथित हथियारबंद शिव सैनिकों ने शुक्रवार को मुंबई में हिंदी न्यूज चैनल 'आईबीएन7' और मराठी न्यूज चैनल 'आईबीएन लोकमत' के आफिस पर हमला बोल दिया। उन दर्जनों उत्पातियों ने मीडियाकर्मियों को पीटा, कपडे फाडे और गंदी गदी गालियां दीं। बताया जा रहा है कि सैनिक शिव सेना के खिलाफ नेगेटिव रिपोर्टिंग से नाराज थे।
दिल्ली, 25 अक्टूबर 09: पुष्पेंद्र कुलश्रेष्ठ चौथी बार प्रेस क्लब आफ इंडिया के सेक्रेट्री जनरल बन गए हैं। उनके पैनल ने फिर बाजी मार ली है। पुष्पेंद्र सेक्रेट्री जनरल पद पर नदीम ए. काजमी को हराने में कामयाब हो गए हैं। ताजी सूचना के अनुसार उपाध्यक्ष पद पर पुष्पेंद्र पैनल और नदीम पैनल के एक-एक प्रत्याशी ने जीत हासिल करने में कामयाबी पाई है। पुष्पेंद्र पैनल से वीपी पद पर रीतू वर्मा और नदीम पैनल से वीपी पद पर विजय सलूजा विजयी निर्वाचित किए गए हैं।
